LIQUID APPLIED MEMBRANES

ARDEX WPM157 LIQUID MEMBRANE APPLICATION TO A BALCONY

Liquid-applied membranes offer a seamless and adaptable waterproofing solution for a wide range of applications, including bathrooms, balconies, rooftops, planter boxes, and wet areas. These membranes are applied in liquid form—by brush, roller, or spray—and cure to form a flexible, fully bonded waterproof layer.

The main advantage of liquid systems is their ability to conform to complex shapes, penetrations, and irregular surfaces, making them ideal for detailed work and areas where sheet membranes may be difficult to install. Once cured, they create a joint-free, seamless barrier that helps prevent water ingress even under dynamic conditions.

Liquid membranes are available in a range of formulations, including polyurethane, acrylic, and cementitious blends, each suited to different substrates and environmental conditions. Many systems also provide excellent UV resistance, crack-bridging ability, and are compatible with tile adhesives and finishes.

Whether used as part of an internal wet-area setup or for exposed outdoor surfaces, liquid-applied membranes offer versatility, ease of application, and proven waterproofing performance.
